Our ESG Evolution: Milestones and Future Directions

At eXate, we are committed to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into our operations. Following our recent self-assessment by The Disruption House, we are proud of our progress and eager to continue improving. 


Our Strengths


Social Pillar: Our commitment to social responsibility is evident through our high performance in Diversity & Inclusion and Product Responsibility. We have established an inclusive workplace culture that celebrates diversity across various dimensions such as age, gender, and ethnicity. This not only fosters a positive work environment but also drives innovation and growth. Our products and services are designed with a strong focus on societal impact, ensuring we meet consumer needs while adhering to stringent regulatory standards.


Governance Pillar: In governance, we excel in Board Diversity, Data Security, and Risk Management. Our board is diverse, bringing various perspectives that enhance decision-making. We prioritise data security, holding ISO27001 and ISO27701 certifications, and maintain robust risk management practices to safeguard our operations and stakeholders. These efforts reinforce our commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical business conduct.


Technology: Our technology platform is another area of strength, characterised by competitiveness, application integration, customisation, repeatability, and monitoring. We adhere strictly to industry best practices and standards, ensuring our technology is secure, efficient, and scalable.


Path to Evolution

While we are proud of our achievements, we recognise there are areas for improvement.


Here is our roadmap for enhancing our ESG: 


1. Supporting Local Communities and Enhancing Charitable Activities


  • Establish partnerships with local nonprofits and community organisations to identify and address pressing community needs. Encourage employee participation through volunteer time off (VTO) and matching employee charity donations.


2. Expanding Training Programs and Creating Clear Career Progression Paths


  • Comprehensive Training Programs: Develop a range of training modules covering technical skills, soft skills, leadership development, and industry-specific knowledge. 


We've made significant progress on this initiative by collaborating with industry leaders like IBM and Red Hat, allowing us to utilise their tailored training. Furthermore, eXate has participated in accelerator programs like Plexal, which have provided their team with valuable workshops on enhancing soft skills, including public speaking.


3. Increasing ESG Awareness Across the Organisation


  • Dedicated ESG Training: Develop and deliver training programs specifically focused on ESG principles, the importance of sustainability, and the company's ESG goals. These programs will be mandatory for all employees.

  • Employee Engagement Programs: Establish employee committees or working groups focused on ESG topics. Encourage employees to contribute ideas and participate in ESG initiatives.


Future Directions

At eXate, our ESG journey is ongoing, and we are committed to continuous improvement. By building on our strengths and addressing areas for development, we aim to achieve higher levels of sustainability, social responsibility, and governance excellence. Together, we can create a more sustainable and equitable future for all our stakeholders.
